Exida is a 19 year old artist hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee.
He began creating music back in 2019. He was obligated to start after he saw one of his friends SKELLA making music at the time. After his friend suggested that he began rapping, he fell in love with it shortly afterwards.
Exida creates music under the Hip-Hop genre, but recently he has been testing the Emo and Aggressive rap styles. He currently has one song out on all platforms titled “WATCH OUT” featuring R4IN. He also has an album that is currently in the works, expected to drop on March 19th.
There are several artists that inspire Exida including $NOT, XXXTentacion, DaBaby, Scarlxrd, Ghostemane, NWA, and more. He also gets inspiration by listening to Rock and Pop from the 50s and 60s, some examples being Frank Sinatra and Paul Anka. Quoted from an interview, “I pretty much take inspiration anywhere I can find it. Whether it be mainstream or underground music, a poem I read, or something as simple as a conversation I had with a friend at lunch”.
Exida mentioned that he would like to give a shoutout to his group BLK-WTR along with the artists Skella, Skye Yonne, and Arsony for the motivation they have given him since he began creating music. He also has a debut album called “Self Titled” that will be released on April 16th.
