Justin Reid is a 21 year old artist who was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Justin started officially creating music at the age of 16 in between his freshman and sophomore years in high school. Prior to high school, he first started participating in a musical setting when he sang for his local church choir. He was able to lead the youth and adult choirs.
During his sophomore year of high school, Justin had friends who created music which is what initially inspired him. After listening to the tracks his friends had made he made the decision to invest in a musical career. He went on to build his own home studio to begin recording his own music. Quoted in an interview, “I’ve always known that music is something I wanted to do full time as a career”. To this day it’s Justin’s dream to go on his own arena tour, and he has no doubt that this time will come.
Justin Reid’s style of music is Trap soul and R&B. He creates a unique style by crossing the R&B melody with his verses. When he records a new track, he starts off with the hooks. After he discovers a new vibe that he’s happy with, he proceeds to write up the rap. Quoted in an interview, “When I write songs that are more melodic and require me to do more singing, I tend to write those verses first and hooks last”.

It’s hard for Justin to choose what his most successful track is, because he has a wonderful fanbase of supporters who check out all of his new music, but if he had to choose one it would be “Good At It”. He released the song in March of 2020 and it instantly blew up. It remains to this day his most streamed track on all platforms. The producer of the beat for the track was Young Asko.
Justin is inspired by several other artists including Bryson Tiller for his trap/soul, 6lack for his voice tone, along with Chris Brown who he musically relates to the most. He truly has a passion for music and won’t be going anywhere.
