Mekhi Moyd is a 19 year old artist hailing from Ridgeland, South Carolina.
He began creating music during his Junior year of high school. He was motivated to do it after seeing one of his friends getting involved with the music scene, and he decided that he wanted to make his own music too. One of his best friends that had told him to start making music had passed away, so Mekhi continues his legacy through his music.
Mekhi creates music under the Trap and Soul genres, similar to Toosii, Rod Wave, and Lil Durk’s musical styles. He is able to express his emotions and what he’s feeling through his lyrics and sounds. His most successful track is titled “Noticed some shit”, in which he recorded off of his phone. People around him gave positive feedback after hearing the track.
There are several notable artists that inspire Mekhi, but his overall favorite artist is Logic. Some others include Rod Wave, Toosii, Lil Durk, Tee Grizzley, Stunna 4 Vegas, and Polo G. This is just the beginning for Mekhi Moyd, there is a lot in store for him in the future. We hope to see more from him soon.
