Meet Rachael Cross, who is a 28 year old recording artist hailing from Detroit, Michigan.
Rachael Cross first began creating music due to her love of artistry from Michael Jackson. When she was 13 years old she heard “No air” performed by Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown and she knew that she wanted to be a songwriter. From then on she began writing cover songs and then later she began writing her own songs, after separating from a girl group.
Rachael Cross creates music under the R&B and Hip Hop genres. Her style includes soulful and inspirational. Her most successful track to date is titled “Feelings on standy”. Quoted from an interview, “Although I have learned about what makes a memorable song and putting the title in the song, people love it because of the island feel and catchy melody”. There are several notable artists whom inspire her, some of which include Bellinger, Ari Lennox, and J. Cole.
