Meet Ryan Radig, he is a 21 year old independent artist who hails from Iowa City, Iowa. He was born in Las Vegas, Nevada before moving to Davenport, Iowa at the age of 2 where he would live out his childhood.

Music is nothing new for Radig, his musical interest became apparent during elementary school. Quoted in an interview, “The first time I remember writing lyrics was on a piece of paper when I was in 5th grade or something”. He discovered his passion for music at an early age, and around the age of 14 he began to write raps. Although this time period was crucial as he was exploring his musical abilities, he didn’t begin to consider music as a career choice until his senior year in high school. At this point in time he got involved with a local studio for the first time. He proceeded to record several songs and released them on the Soundcloud platform. One song that he is proud of is titled “Broken Promises” which has amassed over 70,000 streams.

After graduating from high school, Radig made the decision to move to Nashville in order to pursue an education in audio. Throughout his time at school, he learned valuable skills in this industry. He learned recording, engineering, producing, and more. He felt that he needed to put these skills to use within his career, and that’s when he moved to Iowa City.

Radig decided to create his own home studio. He released a project which would end up being his EP Headspace. His genre of music is put under Alternative Rap, however he puts his own unique twist on with hints of pop music and Indie. He listens to a lot of different genres music to get inspiration, some of his favorites being Rap, Indie Pop, and Alternative R&B. He looks up to several other successful artists such as Isiah Rashad, Mac Miller, Dominic Fike, Joey Purp, and several more.

Radig is currently in the early stages of working on his album. He has self produced several of his own beats to make sure he can get the style he needs. His current scheduled release date for this album lies somewhere around the end of 2021.
