SpaceyY is a 23 year old recording artist hailing from Oxnard, California and residing in San Luis Obispo.
He first began creating music when he was involved with a Punk band during his high school years. His main motive for joining the band was to experience what the previous generations had brought to life. Quoted from an interview, “The intense energy of punk definitely gave me the DIY ethic and I eventually started making lofi Hip Hop during college”.
SpaceyY creates music under the psychedelic rock and lofi Hip Hop genres. He calls this Slo-fi. His most successful track to date is titled “Junebugs” which received lots of positive feedback. There are several notable artists whom inspire him, some of which include Flatbush Zombies, ASAP Rocky, and David Chloe. His parents played CDs while he was growing up which is how he discovered a lot of the music he enjoys today.
He recently dropped an EP titled “Questionable” which is available on all platforms. He also released a music video on YouTube for the track. This is just the beginning for SpaceyY and his musical journey and he is an artist to look out for in the future.
