iDanq is an 28 year old rapper hailing from Orlando, Florida
He first began creating music at the age of 15 during high school. He started off by writing lyrics to instrumentals from artists like 50 cent. He also participated in a talent show at his school where he was able to participate in front of 2,000 other students, and several people still remember him for that to this day.
Although he has wanted to give up several times in the past, he has developed a new outlook on music. Instead of striving to become rich and famous off music, iDanq focuses on himself. He chooses to make music because he loves it, but didn’t come to this realization until around the age of 23. Quoted in an interview, “I still love music, I still enjoy music. I bet if the world heard what I am manifesting, they would love my music too”.
iDanq creates music under the Hip-hop, Pop, and Soul genres. Two of his most successful tracks are titled “Dark Xmas” and “Stack it Up”, which can both be found on YouTube. Dark Xmas describes his childhood growing up, “Every hood christmas… never getting anything for christmas, just tough times man”. Also mentioned in the interview, “I don’t want my kids growing up not having stuff… growing up in a single parent home, just got to make the most out of my situation now. I’m all grown up, no more complaining… more praying”. Several other artists inspire iDanq such as 50 cent, Drake, Wiz Khalifa, and J. Cole. He has a passion for not only creating but also listening to music.
