Meet Donald Joshua Wright, also known by his stage name Geek Jab, who is an upcoming artist hailing from North Chicago, Illinois.
He first gained an interest for music at an early age after his cousin brought him to the studio and introduced him to the music scene. He began creating music at just the age of 13.
Geek Jab considers his music Melodic Rap/Hip Hop. His most successful track to date is titled “Field Days” which is currently sitting at 23 thousand views on YouTube. There are several notable artists whom inspire Geek Jab, some of which include J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Lil Zay Osama, Lil Wayne, and many others.
Geek Jab is currently in the works of more music that will be releasing in the near future. Quoted from an interview, “The city I come from is not inside the big city Chicago, it gets overlooked and labeled as a suburb but it’s lots of love in the city, at the same time it’s violence, tragedy, and death”. This is just the beginning for Geek Jab and his musical career and we are excited to see what his future entails.
