J-Ark is an artist hailing from a small town in Michigan.
Up until the age of 8 he grew up on the streets of Kalamazoo. After moving away would move from house to house, staying anywhere he could to be warm. Eventually he settled in a town called Delton where he would pursue the rest of school and graduate.
In June of 2015, J-Ark lost his mother. He was left unsure of what to do, contemplating suicide or running away. He knew that none of these options were the answer and he seeked a way to express his emotions. This is when J-Ark became involved in the music scene.
After discovering music as a way to cope with life and let our feelings. Quoted from an interview, “I feel the need to make music to fill the void that’s in mainstream music today”. J-Ark’s music style is comparable to G-Eazy, MGK, or NF. We are excited to see what the future holds for J-Ark.
