Quashon Hasty, also known by his stage name Semi Benji, is a 27 year old rapper hailing from Queens, New York.
He began creating music at the early age of 11. He has memories of getting punished as a kid and being forced to read. However, this became something that he would enjoy. English became his favorite class, as he could explore his creativity writing down his thoughts and ideas. Little did he know that almost a decade later he would open up for Young Ma on a radio station.
Semi Benji’s favorite track that he’s created is titled “Palms Angel”. Although the track isn’t even released yet, he has seen massive positive feedback from those around him. He gains inspiration from artists that have seen success after coming from a rougher area, such as Meek Mill and Da Baby.
One of Benji’s biggest strengths is his ability to network with others. He has a hard time turning down opportunities that are brought to him. Always being down to work with others, he has been able to form many relationships with others throughout his musical career. He is always looking to learn more about the industry to make himself a better artist. We will see lots more from him in the future.
